Rules

- Spectators are encouraged to, and should, sit on the side of the gym nearest their team. At NO TIME should spectators address opposing coaches or players. Please be respectful of players and coaches on BOTH sides as well as officials.
- Basketball size and weight will be the 28.5 (Women’s ball) for Girls and for Boys 4th, 5th AND 6th grades except 6D1 will use a 29.5 ball. Official size and weight high school basketball is used for all other age groups.
- Back court pressure is prohibited if leading by 20 or more points in ALL DIVISIONS
Back Court Pressure is prohibited in all 3rd grade divisions, 4D4, 4D3, 4D2, 5D4, 5D3, 5D2 Divisions until the last 5 minutes of games. Be sure to inform your officials prior to the start of the game that you are in these divisions for enforcement. - NEW FREE THROW RULES: 2 shots at 7 fouls (no more 1 and 1). High school rules have now eliminated the 1 and 1 with counting fouls by the quarter. At Utah Bantam we will continue to count fouls as prior: 7 fouls in the half gets to the bonus where 2 shots begin.

- Players may play on multiple teams but MUST be rostered.
- Players on D1 teams should not play down in their own grade.
- To add players to your roster you MUST get approval from league ADMIN
Forfeit Rules:
- Forfeit time is 10 minutes after the game time
- Teams may continue play with as few as 2 players (due to fouls, injury, etc) if 4 or more are present to begin the game.


Head coach and 2 assistant coaches allowed on the bench per team (no more than 3 adults)
- As in the Utah High School rules, Assistant coaches MAY NOT address officials. Assistant coaches addressing officials will be warned or receive a technical foul at the referee's discretion. Assistant coaches should remain seated at all times during games.
- Further violation of the rule will result in a technical foul and expulsion from the bench (as well as other consequences as outlined above in coach technical foul section)
Uniform Rules
- Uniform: NUMBERS FRONT & BACK are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED
- Uniform colors should match.
- No repeat numbers. Technical fouls can be called to start the game, or when number repeat is discovered at the discretion of the officiating crew.
- Reversible jersey's are best for this league.

AAU #
If you have applied for your number and have not received it, you can look it up here:
All Players and Coaches participating in UC Bantam Basketball must have an AAU number to register. AAU numbers are valid from September 1st of each year until August 31st of the following year. If you have an AAU number for another sport, it is valid for UC Bantam as well. Please note that adult AAU numbers take additional time as they now include a background check. It is recommended to apply for them as soon as possible. Instructions to obtain an AAU number (NOT an AAU Club #):
YOU MAY REGISTER YOUR TEAM and ADD AAU NUMBER or NUMBERS LATER.
- Click this sentence to open the AAU website or go to AAUsports.org.
- Choose "Get a Membership". When registering a player choose "Youth Athlete membership". Coaches select "Non-Athlete or Adult Membership".
- Choose your coverage (Regular is the most common choice, you can read about AB coverage on AAUsports.org).
- In the Club section, select YES and under CLUB CODE enter RSA6EB36 (Utah Bantam).
- Next, enter your athlete's information as directed. Be sure to read and agree to the terms and conditions.
- Follow the rest of the online instructions, and your AAU number will be emailed to the address you entered at the beginning of the form.
- Now visit the directions below to enter your number into the ALL BALL app!
Enter your AAU# into the All Ball app!
We need to add another thing at the end that says:
“Insert your AAU# into the all ball app”
- Open the All Ball app
- Click on Team
- Find your profile
- Select the edit button on the right hand corner
- Scroll down to AAU#
- Enter you AAU#
